Hope $O (so) actually comes from the meme of Kodak being interviewed and explaining he fell asleep on the phone to a girl and is asked if she's the one, he replies "hope so".
I've taken it and to me, Hope is something aspirational and human.
And the so with the s as a dollar sign ($O) introduces money and status. Suggesting that hope itself has a price or that hope is tied to making it out, and ‘making it out’ in this sense is shown through his diamond grills and jewellery. Symbols of success that are often treated as proof that the dream has become reality.
